i have this phone and its the best phone i have ever had the camera is awesome the buttons are great for you fingers the box is beautiful the sound is loud as and i have dropped it from 9-10 feet on cement two times and it didn’t come apart so if you are looking for a cheap sturdy good phone i recommend this phone to you
this is the worst phone i’ve ever had, i’ve lost count the amount of times it’s switched its self off, frozen, slowed right down and not worked at all. atm i cant send txt msg’s because it’s just suddenly ran out of memory :S. only good thing i can say about this phone is that it’s quite sturdy, as it’s survived been chucked off the wall in a rage at it’s general lack of working tons of times.
In terms of service I would rank AirTel to be one of the best Service Provider. However their coverage area is not as wide as the other service providers. This is quite evident in the south states, particularly in Kerala.
However with the expansion of another service provider, Hutch, with the aquisition of BPL recently, I guess they would give AirTel a run for their money.
The government run mobile service provider, BSNL, boasts about having greater coverage area than any other service provider which is quite true. They have coverage in almost each and every nook and corner of the country. However, their service is absolutely terrible. The only thing good about BSNL is their caller rates. It is quite cheap, but not for long.
In short, AirTel is the No. 1 service provider closely followed by Hutch which could replace AirTel as the leading service provider in the country in the coming years.
in malaysia have 3 major mobile phone services, cant say which is the best, the market is very competitive and they have their pro & con..
3G provider
maxis (GSM900) (prefix 012 & 017) – they have a very good marketing strategic brand. coverage is good in big cities, especially in west coast.
celcom (GSM900) (prefix 019 & 013) – they have 90% coverage of whole malaysia, included rural area in east malaysia.
up to EDGE/GPRS service
digi (GSM1800) (prefix 016, latest extension 014) – the 1st & biggest in prepaid service. they have quite good coverage also.
this is the prepaid package for the 3 companies..
maxis – hotlink
celcom – xpax
digi – beyond prepaid
you may check out the links below to compare the services and charges for your needs. personally, i'm using celcom019 and quite satisfied with their services.. :>
CDMA phones are those that DONT use simcards where as GSM phones are those that USE simcards…to get a new GSM phone you'll need to sign a contract with a GSM carrier, the rest they will tell you!
