We think you are reffering to the MicroSD memory card – you’re right it is pretty difficult.

We think it has something to do with the flexibility of the cover as it doesn’t bend enough to give you proper access. Otherwise the handset is brilliant!

If you have Series 2 or 3 it might just be easier and faster to connect them up to a high speed data line for daily calls. They easily accept internet connections to do their updates and it takes a fraction of the time. If you have a Series 1 then it might be signs that the internal modem is failing. These models weren't designed to last forever. Purchasing a upgrade kit or external modem are the only 2 choices with Series 1. What series model Tivo are you using?
